KidPaint

KidPaint is a very simple coloring application for kids. The program includes a series of black and white drawings next to the same drawing with colors.

The kids are supposed to copy the colors, but they can paint the drawing the way they want. To paint, they just have to click on the desired color and then click on the part they wish to paint. There is a great palette with lots of colors, but some of them are missing (for instance, white) or they don't look exactly the same as the colors shown in the colored image.

Unfortunately, the program only includes an undo option. It would be great if it also included some drawing tools like different brushes, eraser, aerosol, and others. Sadly, the pictures cannot be saved or printed, which is really a shame. The application is not run in full screen, so your kid can have access to your computer. Moreover, there is no music or sounds.

In short, if you are looking for a simple and free coloring application to keep your kids busy for a while, KidPaint may work for you.
